I was referred to Brighter Futures when my support with SAHA ended and they couldn’t support me anymore. Their service stopped and their staff were made redundant. I wanted to carry on though, so I asked for help from Brighter Futures.
Staff at Brighter Futures come and see me once a week and support me with my money and tenancy. I struggled with my money and paying my bills without help.
I’ve been helped to get a bigger flat, my old one had a bath that kept flooding the room and it kept leaking into the rooms below me. I now have a wet room and am very happy with this.
I have also had support to get a Passport, I couldn’t have done this without help as I found this too difficult to do on my own. I love having a Passport, it means I can go on holiday now.
I want the support I get to continue because I need it – it makes me feel safe. In the future I would like to set up a theatre group with Brighter Futures.
I’d recommend the service to my friends and to people it could help. I would tell them about the difference it has made to my life and would want them to have the help I get as well. I want to tell everyone who moves in near me about the good help I’ve had.
